Pitivi is a community-run project. One of the things we value the most is our community of contributors (wanna join us?). For us, time is usually more precious and scarce than money.

Nevertheless, various people and organizations requested to be able to donate to the project. This page is here to recognize their value.

TODO: we need to implement a statistics system that can read .csv files. Wanna help?

What do you do with the money?

It all depends on how much we receive. With small amounts, we can pay a couple of beers for contributors at GUADEC. With a couple of thousand dollars per year, we could organize one or two Pitivi hackfests per year (reimburse some travel fees for contributors to attend). With larger amounts, we could also sponsor some interns to work on our set of technologies.

Currently, the amount of money we receive is quite low. Therefore, as it stands now we can:

  • Buy some drinks to contributors during conferences such as GUADEC.
  • Offer some more drinks or tokens of gratitude to people from other open source projects who make our lives significantly easier (ex: fixing a bug that prevents us from working efficiently)
  • Buy a small amount of promotional material (such as stickers) to spread the love

Currently, donations are handled by Jean-François (nekohayo). If we have to handle a larger amount of donations, we will deal with the GNOME Foundation instead (but this means additional fees and administrative overhead).

I want to "flattr" or donate!

Micropayments: Normal donations:

Use the "Flattr" button below to show support once in a while or when we do something you like.

Use the button below to donate bigger amounts (and save us the 10% Flattr fees). A Paypal account is not required, credit cards are accepted even without an account.

Let's talk serious business.

Need professional support or development around GStreamer and Pitivi?

Then you should probably talk to these guys.
