The magician is the 'effects' provider in PiTiVi.

The idea is to make it provide:

• A complete abstraction of where/how the plugins are done (core plugins, gstreamer plugins, ui-only plugins, ...)
• Easy categorisation of the plugins (simple effects, transitions, complex effects, ....)
